Susan Wyatt, MPT
Susan Wyatt was born in Endicott New York and moved to Pompano Beach Florida
at an early age. She was active in a number of competitive sports until her
early teens when she started focusing on competitive swimming. She was a
high school and junior college all-american swimmer, and a Big-8 conference
champion at Iowa State University where she majored in exercise science and
wellness.
After college Susan moved back to South Florida where she worked as a lifeguard/swimming instructor and a physical therapy aide for a number of years. She then worked as an assistant director of a hospital based wellness program, setting up and monitoring exercise programs for the general public and for the hospital’s cardiopulmonary outpatients. During this time she also competed for several years in master’s level swimming, and sprint to ironman distance triathlons. She decided to continue her education and received a master of physical therapy in 1998 from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. After graduation she moved to Virginia where she worked in an outpatient physical therapy facility, treating primarily a general orthopedic and sports medicine patient population. She enjoys fishing, hiking, and traveling with her family and dogs in her free time.
