He then moved to Chicago where he completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Northwestern University. Dr. Parker concluded his formal medical education by completing a fellowship in sports medicine at the Baylor Sports Medicine Institute in Houston, Texas.

He especially enjoys the doctor-patient relationships that he has developed because he feels most orthopaedic patients are “motivated and proactive about their recovery.” Dr. Parker’s special interest areas include cartilage restoration surgery, adolescent and adult sports medicine, primary and revision arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery, and shoulder joint replacement.
As an active and respected participant in many professional medical organizations, Dr. Parker has delivered numerous presentations and educational seminars at orthopaedic conferences around the country. "I loved the fact that Dr. Parker took the time to really listen to my concerns, went over my x-rays and MRI and had a game plan to find out what is causing my pain. I feel very hopeful that my issue will be resolved."

"I can't say enough great things about Dr. Parker. He is very attentive, a great listener, and has a wonderful positive outlook! He works WITH you to come up with a plan rather than dictating what will be done. Also, though he is extremely busy with appointments he never seems rushed and will take his time answering all your questions."
