In addition, he was selected for early admission to Alpha Omega Alpha while completing his medical degree with honors from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Dr. Hughes worked as a surgical intern at Bethesda Naval Hospital and was later honorably discharged after serving as a Commander in the United States Navy. "I recently had decompression and fusion surgery with Dr. Steven Hughes. The surgery has completely eliminated the awful sciatic pain that had been plaguing me. He is an outstanding physician, not only in his technical skills but also in his cordial and informative relations with patients and the efficient functioning of his office. I recommend him highly."
"He is the best surgeon in the area for spine surgery. These doctors are the best. These are the doctors they send you to when the injections no longer work. He takes the time to get to know his patients personally. I will be using him again in the future."
