Pediatric Orthopaedics

As an important branch of orthopaedics, pediatrics focuses on the many facets of bone and joint problems in the growing child.  Whether suffering from a playground injury or dealing with a congenital issue, children many times have unique orthopaedic needs and concerns that make their course of treatment different from that of adults.  And, with bones that are still maturing, these young patients and their families deserve special attention and compassionate care.

From scoliosis and spinal deformities to fractures and sprains, our team has a number of physicians who take special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopaedic problems affecting children and adolescents.  Last year Commonwealth Orthopaedics physicians treated over 16,000 pediatric patients and provided rehabilitative care for them in seven physical therapy clinics conveniently located throughout Northern Virginia.
