Alexander S. Croog, MD
Dr. Croog is a fellowship trained hand surgeon who practices in the Fairfax office. He earned his BA in Psychology from Harvard University before studying medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Croog completed his internship and residency at New York University/Hospital for Joint Diseases and his fellowship in hand and upper extremity at the University of Cincinnati.

William C. Lennen, MD
Dr. Lennen has practiced orthopaedics in Northern Virginia for 9 years and is pleased to be joining the Commonwealth team with whom he has had a long affiliation. He will practice in Commonwealth’s new Lansdowne office opening in Fall 2007. He earned his medical degree and completed an internship and residency in orthopaedic medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center. He also completed fellowship training in Total Joint and Adult Reconstruction at Johns Hopkins University.

Commonwealth Orthopaedics will open their 10th office location this fall, located at 19450 Deerfield Avenue, Suite 400, Leesburg, VA 20176. Dr. William Lennen (see bio above) will open the office this fall and will be joined by Dr. Matthew Levine in February 2008. Dr. Levine received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and is fellowship trained in orthopaedic sports medicine from Duke University.

In addition to medical office space, the new Lansdowne office will also include a physical therapy clinic. A November opening is anticipated. The phone number at the new office is 703-810-5207.
