Office Manager, Arlington/Tysons
Commonwealth Orthopaedics has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Office Manager to oversee staff and operations at our Arlington and Tysons' offices. The Office Manager will manage approximately 45 clinical and administrative staff, supporting eight physicians and five physician assistants. He or she will be accountable for managing all office operations, ensuring quality service and a positive patient experience. While the position will be primarily based in Arlington , VA; it is expected that the manager divides time between both office locations.
The Manager will report to the Chief Operations Officer and be part of a larger team of Office Managers who oversee other office locations within Commonwealth Orthopaedics.
The Office Manager plans, organizes, and directs the clinical and administrative
functions of the physicians' office. He/she supervises all non-physician office
staff and ancillary personnel, coordinating activities to accomplish the goals of
the practice and the office. He/she works with the management team and office staff
to coordinate the functions of patient care services across the practice.
The Office Manager monitors office metrics to assess patient volume, physician schedules, staffing, revenues cycle and office performance, and makes changes, as needed. He or she ensures superior service for all patients of the practice.
Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in health administration or related field required. At least 7-10 years of experience in healthcare including three years in a management or supervisory role. High proficiency with computers, MS Office, and practice management systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must, along with excellent leadership, customer service, and service recovery skills. Commonwealth Orthopaedics is seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator for its Fair Oaks Physician Office. The Administrative Coordinator is a working supervisor role and will oversee the essential functions of the office to include the following:
- Oversees the patient experience from intake to check-out and ensures excellent customer service for all patients
- Schedules appropriate coverage for staff, manages schedule requests, and maintains office time and attendance tracking in Payroll System
- Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary to ensure that appropriate staffing levels are maintained
