Born in New York City, Dr. Daniel Weingold became interested in the health care field at a young age as he watched his father practice medicine. Dr. Weingold benefited from his experiences working as a nursing assistant at the George Washington University Medical Center Emergency Room during his college summer vacations. With a desire to help people of all ages recover from a wide variety of conditions, he feels it is important to individualize his treatment approach for each patient. Dr. Weingold specializes in shoulder and knee surgery and performs both arthroscopic and reconstructive procedures to get patients back to a functional level.
Dr. Weingold attended the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland, and then went on to earn an undergraduate degree at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He completed his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and finished his surgical internship and orthopaedic residency training at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Dr. Weingold has served as Chief of Orthopaedics and on the Operating Room Committee at Inova Alexandria Hospital. Currently, he is the team physician for Lee High School.
